Community Advocates, Fashion Amalgamators and Altruistic Educators

Kapa Magazine Hawaiʻi offers values-based programs that center youth through fashion, performance, and community care. From runway showcases like Hawaiʻi on the Runway and The WE, to storytelling platforms like The Franc Show, Kapa Hard Copy, and The Roots, we highlight identity and expression across Hawaiʻi. Hands-on learning lives in Koʻu ʻOihana Pono'i, while projects like The Kapa Closet and our Care Home Series, Mālama Moments bring dignity and connection to everyday spaces. Each program is a step toward confidence, culture, and belonging.

ABOUT US

Kapa Mag – More Than a Magazine

Kapa Mag - More than a Magazine is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to building confidence, strengthening local identity, and supporting creative and business growth across the Hawaiian Islands.

We serve communities through practical programs and opportunities that guide individuals in developing their voice, sharpening their skills, and pursuing meaningful work.

Our work focuses on three core areas

  1. Providing engaging, skill-building classes like Koʻu ʻOihana Ponoʻi which helps Hawaiʻi’s youth grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression while staying grounded and supported in a safe, structured environment.

  2. Creating ongoing platforms for youth like HoTR and emerging creatives — especially in Hawaiʻi’s fashion and arts communities — to explore ideas, collaborate with peers and professionals, and showcase their work.

  3. Offering accessible business support services — including branding, planning, and creative consulting — tailored to the needs of Hawaiʻi-based entrepreneurs, start-ups, and nonprofits.
