About the event

🌈 The WE: Peace Day Fashion Festival – General Description

Celebrate unity, creativity, and community at The WE: Peace Day Fashion Festival, happening Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 12–6 PM at the iconic Waikīkī Bandstand.

This statewide event brings together Hawai‘i’s next generation of models, performers, and designers in a bold, joyful showcase of style and self-expression.

Whether you’re walking the runway, performing a piece, or styling a look, The WE is about raising our voices and vision—together.

This year’s WE Peace Day Festival embraces the theme “Baby, I’m a Star,” continuing our tradition of honoring the music and message of Prince, whose work has inspired each live WE production since our inception. From “Purple Rain” in Kakaʻako to “Raspberry Beret” and “Money Don’t Grow on Trees” at the Waikīkī Bandstand, our themes have always centered community, creativity, and the power of self-expression.

“Baby, I’m a Star” is more than…

  2. Creating ongoing platforms for youth like HoTR and emerging creatives — especially in Hawaiʻi’s fashion and arts communities — to explore ideas, collaborate with peers and professionals, and showcase their work.
